Abby started rowing in the Learn to Row camp at Saugatuck in 2017. The height in her family passed over her to her brother and sister, both Saugatuck rowers, and on the first day of preseason it became abundantly clear she was destined to be a coxswain.
In college she coxed for UConn Men’s Crew placing 2nd at ACRA in the Novice 4+ category. Sophomore year she served as the team’s Social Media and Website Coordinator and raced in the Varsity 8+ at Head of the Charles and ACRA. She then transferred to Boston University to study film and television and walked onto the women’s team where they were back to back Patriot League champions.
Last fall, she raced with the Saugatuck Masters, including placing 6th at Head of the Charles. After coming full circle and coaching the Learn to Row camps, Masters, and Competitive Girls team in college, she is excited to coach the Novice Girls.
