Shaun Harrington
Fitness Director
A native of Massachusetts, Shaun attended the University of Massachusetts graduating
with a degree in Exercise Science. Shaun has been an educational instructor for the
American College of Sports Medicine for their annual national workshops for the past
four years.
Currently he is NSCA- CSCS, & CPT and ACSM-CPT certified. He also holds a level one & two
triathlon coach certification and has been a tennis teaching professional for over ten years.
Shaun has held positions as Fitness Director and Manager for Ritz-Carlton Hotels/Clubs in
Aspen and Vail Colorado, as well as Wellbridge Athletic Clubs both in Colorado and
Massachusetts. Most recently he was the Assistant Director of Recreation at Harvard University.
Shaun specializes in sport specific training, pre and post rehab, functional training,
flexibility, and strength and weight loss. Shaun brings a unique ability to work with a
variety of clients to reach their goals in a successful manner realistic approach.
Setting realistic goals to follow, learning to make exercise fun and making it a life
long journey long will set you on the write path.

Kirsten deBiasi
Personal Trainer
Commitment equals results
Kirsten has worked as a fitness professional since 1989, and is NSCA certified.
Her specialties include: performance stretching, strength training and sports
specific fitness training for activities such as golf, tennis, rowing, and snowboarding.
She also has a special interest in promoting strength training for the prevention of
osteoporosis and as the means to general overall body conditioning.
Anthony West
Personal Trainer
Anthony was born in Kingston Jamaica, and came to the US at the age of six.
He is an avid athlete, participant in many sports including, football, basketball, track
and field and boxing and tennis. He is certified by N.E.S.T.A. (National Endurance
and Sports Training Association), first aid and CPR.
He is currently pursuing his certification in advanced integrated flexibility.

Kristin Van Beaver
Kristin Van Beaver has over ten years experience in the fitness industry.
She specializes in teaching kickboxing, strength training classes and spin classes.
Kristin has a unique ability to work with all types of clients with different goals.
Kristin is AFFA, ISSA certified personal trainer. Kristin is currently working on her CSCS,
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Peter Lutz

A lifelong advocate of physical fitness, Peter owned his first set of free weights
at the age of 12. A corporate executive for the past thirty years, Peter extensive
business travels necessitated creative approaches to staying in shape.
As an ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer, he draws upon these experiences to bring
a fresh perspective to the challenge of getting and staying fit.
Anyone who has worked with him knows he is full of innovative ways to get
the most out of a workout, regardless of fitness level or age.

Michael Dial
Personal Trainer
Success is only met by those willing to fail over and over again in the pursuit
of achievement
Michael became a fitness professional in 1994, and earned a B.S. in Exercise Science
at Ithaca College. He is also a competitive triathlete. His specialties are sport
specific training, high intensity training, and training for weight loss.
He also does therapeutic exercise for the Ahlbin Center for Rehabilitative Medicine
and population specific training as the personal trainer for the Westport Fire Department.
Matthew Katalinas

Matt specializes in strength training and circuit training for all ages.
He brings a very scientific approach to all his training.

Kati Cavanagh

A native local, Kati has worked at many private training studios in the area.
She has worked at Better Athletic Development as well as Born Ready Fitness.
Kati has focused a lot of her training on corrective imbalances, kids/athletes, preventing injury, and increasing athleticism.
Kati loves working with kids, athletes, anyone who is motivated and has a goal.
There is nothing more fulfilling than helping someone achieve a goal, not matter how big or small.
Former Division 1 Field Hockey player at the Univeristy of Connecticut.
She also enjoys to snowboard, run and bike.

Tom Day
Personal Trainer
Tom comes to Saugatuck Rowing with over 23 years of experience in the fitness industry.
He is a Y.M.C.A. certified trainer, and also holds an MA in music and Fine Arts.
He also worked for 12 years as a licensed massage therapist.
Tom has been active as an organist and choir master for over 40 years.
For the past 20-plus years he has balanced dual careers in music, personal training,
as well as other wellness endeavors.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Tom "heads for hills" to backpack and mountain climb
at every opportunity.
Debbie Hollis
Personal Trainer
Growing up as an active and athletic individual Deb always knew the importance of staying
active and healthy. With a born desire to help others reach their own fitness goals,
she pursued a career in Corporate Fitness, helping employers keep thier employees healthy.
Debbie brings with her 7 years of both corporate wellness/education and commercial gym
experience. Certified through NASM, AFAA,& NSCA, she is a State Certified First Responder,
her specialties include, but are not limited to: sport-specific training, injury
rehabilitation, high intensity/interval training, and stretching.
Debbie is here to assist you reach your personal fitness and wellness goals with
support and encouragement!
Judd Delany
Personal Trainer
Judd comes to Saugatuck with extensive knowledge in functional anatomy.
Judd spent 5 years as a conditioning specialist for a sports medicine clinic.
He offers sophisticated program design skills to help those with specific limitations.
He takes a holistic approach to fitness with emphasis on the therapeutic benefits of
exercise in terms of restoring functional capacity and improved quality of life.
Judd is currently pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy.

Steve Cavanagh

Steve has experience running circuits and boot camp style classes at local faculties
in the area as well as members of the Saugatuck Rowing Club.
Steve also teaches a Jump rope/conditioning class to our members here at SRC.
Steve also works with the Junior Rowing athletes. Steve enjoys helping people reach
the long and short term goals they have set for themselves by pushing them to their
optimal level of fitness.
Steve enjoys playing basketball, football and skiing.
Alison Galloway
Personal Trainer/Rowing Coach
The potential for changing the future can only lie in the present
A native of Wilton, Allison comes to us with her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science
from the University of Connecticut and more recently, her Masters in Human Nutrition from
the University of Bridgeport.
Allison is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National
Strength and Conditioning Association.
An avid athlete, Allison splits her time between running, rowing and sailing. After learning
to row in Australia, she continued on to row on the varsity team at the University of
Connecticut.
Currently, she trains with SRC’s competitive rowing program, in addition to coaching adult
rowing. She has also completed several half and full marathons.
Fred Dunning
Personal Traine
Setting a goal is good. Achieving it is awesome.
Fred is an AFAA and APEX certified personal trainer with 22 years of experience and has
an additional certifcation in weight training. He has enjoyed teaching group exercise
Swiss Ball and Parent/Child weight training and nutrition classes. Fred weight lifting
team at Andrew Warde High School were state champions.
Fred has a passion for sport specific training, but his training style can accommodate
any client and he enjoys helping people achieve personal goals.
Fred and his wife have three children.
